Oak Cliff drinks in two places: Bishop Arts, where most of these bars sit within three blocks of Bishop and Davis, and the stretch of West Davis that runs west past the Kessler Theater. Every bar below is a real, listed business on Oak Cliff America with an address you can walk to. Twelve bars, grouped by what kind of night you want. Details were checked against each bar’s own pages or local press in October 2026 — where we could not confirm hours, the entry says so instead of guessing. The second location of the Henderson Avenue pub that has poured pints in East Dallas for more than 25 years. Owner Feargal McKinney opened this one in November 2024 in a restored building on West Davis — dark wood, a long bar, and a room D Magazine compared to a set from Peaky Blinders.

3. Cannon’s Corner Irish Pub

An Irish pub in Cannon’s Village, a 1922 building named for the five-and-dime that once filled it, opened in 2019 by Dublin-born Alan Kearney of The Crafty Irishman and The Playwright. Irish beers on draft, a deep shelf of Irish whiskey, and pub plates: shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, an all-day Irish breakfast. The Kessler Theater is on the same block.

4. 13 Barrels Craft House

The woman-owned craft-beer bar a block from the Bishop and Davis corner, open since 2015: a rotating tap wall heavy on Texas breweries and a deli counter for sandwiches to go with it. It fills up before and after dinner in the district.

Bishop Arts’ sports bar, opened in 2024 by Dan Bui and Connie Cheng and styled after a Las Vegas sportsbook: 24 TVs — 17 inside, 7 on the patio — and a scrolling ticker of scores. Wings, burgers, tacos and mini corn dogs from the kitchen; cocktails, beer and mocktails from the bar. Children are welcome until 6 PM.

A New Orleans-style music bar in the middle of Bishop Avenue: live jazz and brass nearly every day, the house band on weekend afternoons, and room to dance when the band gets going. Classic cocktails — Sazerac, Old Fashioned — and a fried shrimp po’boy from the kitchen.

7. LadyLove Lounge & Sound

A vinyl listening lounge and dance floor modeled on Japanese hi-fi bars, opened in 2023 by Kate Siamro, David Grover of nearby Spinster Records and Jimmy Contreras of Taco y Vino. The DJ booth is built around vinyl, and the music changes nightly — house, disco-funk, cumbia, gospel. House cocktails and 1970s dinner-party small plates; the room holds about 100.

8. Atlas

A cocktail bar built like a traveler’s library, with a menu that travels too — Pisco Sours, Palomas, Pimm’s Cups, Singapore Slings — and bar food from pretzels to Cuban sandwiches. A bookshelf at the back opens onto a second, hidden bar. Later at night it turns into a DJ room: hip-hop, R&B, Latin and cumbia nights were all on its September 2026 calendar.
